As I shot photos of beautiful fireworks last night, I started thinking... I don't know how many Americans realize how lucky we are to live in this country. Having lived in two other countries myself, I was truly grateful to move home each time. We have so much here- from freedoms to opportunities, and often we don't miss it until we don't have it.
My grandparents didn't come here from Italy fleeing political persecution, they just wanted a better life for their families. That's what all immigrants want.
So today, think about why you CHOOSE to live in this great country and remember to celebrate what you have.
